Check out the 2nd Indie Literary Market at Clinton’s (map) 693 Bloor Street West and meet dozens of Canadian literary presses and directly purchase publications that may not be readily available (or available at all!) in bookstores!

In particular livewords looks forward to saying “hello” to Rampike Magazine, Misunderstandings Magazine, and Carousel Magazine among many others gathered therein.

Join us June 24, as we celebrate the launch of the newest issue of Rampike Magazine, with Karl Jirgens, Claudio Gaudio, Concetta Principe, Clara Blackwood, Babar Khan, Lindsay Tipping, Jim Johnstone, Gary Barwin, and Frank Davey.

On July 22 we will welcome back Misunderstandings Magazine for the Issue 14 launch party, last time we packed the house! It’s always a great night of literary mayhem.

On August 26 we welcome Adebe D.A., Jeff Latosik and Alexandra Oliver$.

Misunderstandings Magazine 12 – Launched

We had a packed house July 23 at the Central on all-too-infrequent warm Toronto ’09 summer night.

Nikki Ward won our all “original piece” Open Mic contest, carrying off a $50 cash prize for her impressive effort.

Thanks to our contest judges: Karen Shenfeld, Carey Toane, and Blair Trewartha.

MM Editor Jim Johnstone, successfully sold magazines to all comers.

We enjoyed arresting readings from nine (9) contributors from Misunderstandings Magazine Issue 12:
