Misunderstandings launched to a full house November 12

Cervejaria was packed last night as we launched Misunderstandings Magazine Issue 10! Five of the contributors read very well and at least one controversially.

Wally Keeler lead off the evening (having returned for a visit from the People’s Republic of Poetry) with a typical if controversial set of words & actions. It was Wally’s send off to as he’ll back to the PRP via Montréal very soon.

Julian Gobert read his well-crafted work with aplomb and the audience responded with ‘pin-drop’ sensitivity.

Josh Stewart launched his new chapbook The Invention Of The Curveball, published by Cactus Press. The chapbook included a free baseball card and sold well at the ‘must-buy’ price of $4.

Eric Foley is a good writer who captured the crowd with his polished words.

Devon Gallant came in from Montréal for the event and performed in his inimitable style. Devon & Julie Cameron Gray (who was in attendance) founded Diamond Cherry, the precursor series to livewords.

Misunderstandings Magazine is available at Pages Book Store and other independent bookstores in Toronto, Montréal & Ottawa and by subscription at http://www.misunderstandingsmagazine.com/.
